How can coming into relationship with the Healing powers of Nature help you to embody your Life?
If it feels right for you…. join in with this exercise.
Close your eyes and feel into your body.
Breathe into your lower tummy area. Sometimes it helps to place a hand there and let your bodymind experience the feedback from your hand.
Look inside for a nature image that is positive for you.
When you have this image focus on its effect in your body.
“Soft smooth moss appears in my mind’s eye. The colour is a beautiful fresh and vivid green. The memory of its softness begins to soften my body and as I stay with the image I notice a sensation of relaxation spreading through my limbs and into my torso”.
Being in Nature helps us to get out of our linear minds and into the sense orientated nature of our bodies. This ability ‘to come home’ to our bodies helps us in embodying our lives and gives us the feeling of being more present to our experience. You can begin to move at a more Mindful pace in tune with the rhythm of the earths breath. By doing this you are able to ‘feel’ more and be more present and available to yourself and others. As the mind synchs with the body it quietens and intuition flows more freely. You are now moving towards the non-dual.
By doing this exercise in Imagery it calls up the body’s memory of ‘being in nature’ and evokes positive feelings and allows you to embed them more deeply into your experience.
Getting familiar with the practice of using nature therapy as a resource in Psychotherapy and Counselling can be life changing for you.
The natural world offers us a way to learn & resonate through its continuous cycle of growth, changing seasons, death & rebirth. We can be accompanied in our life’s journey by being in relationship with nature and by tapping into it as a resource and deep rooted holding. This connection can allow communication with our senses that enlivens and enriches our daily experience.
