Why Psychotherapy?
Inevitably, at some stage of life, we may find ourselves overwhelmed and at a loss.
This may be because of difficult life crises such as grief or loss or because of repeated patterns from traumas that we hold.
We may be stuck in a state of grief, confusion, hopelessness or perhaps live with a general anxiety that is interfering with our ability to be present to those we love.
It is at this point that we may seek the help of a psychotherapist to hold a relational space for us where we can be helped to identify what we need and begin to find clarity on how we may ease our difficulties.

Core Process Psychotherapy
Includes
Polyvagal theory
Work with the soma (body) to become aware of and gain skills to balance the nervous system activation (triggering) in our bodies. Uncover mind-body links through the autonomic nervous system, shedding light on emotional regulation and well-being.
Somatic Integration
Creating space inside the body and allowing the body to lead the enquiry. This gives the mind a rest, allows us the greater connection with our somatic experience and develops our body mind awareness and relationship to ourselves. Inner world exploration
Grounding Mediation
Often at different times during the therapy it may feel appropriate to give space to sit together quitely. This gives us an opportunity to sense into 'what is happening for us just now' or what is going on in the body. Connection with the feet and breath can be good to balance our systems and essential when processing trauma.
Embodiment
Embrace life fully by attuning to your physical experiences, enhancing self-connection and well-being.
Trauma
Understand the lasting emotional impact of distressing events, seeking healing and recovery.
Focusing
Discover insights and clarity by paying attention to bodily sensations, aiding personal growth and understanding.
Nueroscience
Left and Right brain functioning and experiencing. Identifying which brain we are in and which brain is more dominant for us. Studies show that 'happiness' results from a balance and integration between these 2 brains
Attachment Styles
Becoming aware of our default attachment styles and exploring their historical origins is a crucial step in personal growth and self-awareness. Understand how these attachment styles manifest within the therapeutic relationship itself
Cultivating awareness of the present moment is a transformative practice that can significantly enhance our overall well-being and quality of life. By grounding ourselves in the here and now, we can effectively reduce stress and promote emotional balance.
